Following the formal opening
ceremonies Dan Bedell introduced two members of the CAP’s, Maj. John Allen
& Lt. Don Montgomery.
A thank you card was read
from Brian Wilmarth the boy who received the $500 Legion scholarship.
The Adjutant and Finance
Officer reports were given and approved without addition or correction.
The Service Officer reported
that member Matt Allen was in a very bad auto accident. He is on the mend but will be out of
commission for a while. Louis Mohn is in
the nursing home, and Rocky is at home with a series of health problems.
Building Committee –
The trees and their roots
have been removed from the new Post site for $2050.
The rental house is empty and
will have the asbestos abated for approximately $1600.
Prices are being looked into
for the demo of the house.
Les Morgan reported on the WW
2 remberance held Memorial Day. Les has
also been named the Post’s representative to the Chatham Camber of Commerce.
The Chatham Chamber is
putting together an 8-page insert to the South County Publications paper. A motion was made by Les Morgan & 2nd
by Hank Jacobs to have the Post purchase a $250 one-quarter page ad in this
insert. Motion passed with no desenting
votes.

participated in the Post’s ground breading ceremony.
Thanks also to those who
participated in the Memorial Day service.
The third and final
opportunity was given to make nominations for an officer position for the
upcoming term. Hearing none, the
following were elected my acclimation for the 2004-2005 term.

The installation will take
place at the August 04 regular meeting.
